AMESBURY, MA—On Wednesday, October 19, Shea Concrete Products hosted its 13th Technical Engineering Seminar at their precast concrete headquarters on Haverhill Road.
Drawing a crowd of 60 construction, engineering, and precast professionals, Shea Concrete’s October seminar offered a full-day of technical learning from a wide range of industry-leading speakers, including Lauren Usilton of J&R Sales & Service, Gary Spaulding of Advanced Onsite Solutions, and Todd Wacome of SiltPrison.
Shea Concrete also offered guests a tour of their precast concrete manufacturing facility and headquarters. Recently achieving a Gold LEED Certification, the state-of-the-art facility utilizes a wide range of sustainable materials and practices, including roof-mounted solar panel arrays, car charging stations, sustainable precast concrete manufacturing practices, and many others to ensure a positive working environment.
Attendees were treated, free of charge, to educational sessions on a range of topics, including onsite wastewater treatment solutions, leach field rejuvenation strategies, and Stormwater collection/filtration best practices. Participants were also able to earn Professional Credit Hours, which are helpful for Professional Engineers to keep up with continuing education requirements as well as Onsite Septic System Designers/Installers in MA & NH.
“The beautiful fall weather made it the perfect day for a plant tour as well as gathering to learn from industry experts,” said Hugh Scott, P.E. at Shea Concrete Products. “Great work from the Shea team, the attendees, and our speakers. Teamwork makes the dream work!”
Shea Concrete Products would like to thank all speakers and attendees for making the seminar a success and looks forward to hosting its next seminar during Spring 2023.
