Amesbury, MA – The 2025 “Technical Engineering Seminar” series continued with a focus on all things retaining walls as Shea Concrete hosted over 40 attendees at their latest Technical Engineering Seminar in Amesbury, MA. This seminar was supported by Recon Wall Systems, local experts in the retaining wall design field, and Shea Concrete’s very own team members who delivered presentations as part of the seminar!
On August 27, 2025, the doors to Shea Concrete’s Amesbury, MA headquarters opened once again to host a group of over 40 local civil engineers, contractors, inspectors, specifiers, and other industry professionals. This no-cost opportunity was Shea Concrete’s 18th seminar to date, featuring a comprehensive agenda for attendees to earn Professional Credit Certificates/Hours, connect with industry peers, and get an exclusive look at Shea Concrete’s Gold LEED-certified headquarters facility and state-of-the-art manufacturing plant.
In addition to a hard-hat manufacturing plant tour led by Shea’s President Greg Stratis, the seminar attendees were treated to three 1-hour technical presentations featuring a variety of industry experts and interesting topics, as well as a Recon Wall Systems installation demonstration. These seminars offer a full day of learning and networking for attendees, including locally catered food to make sure nobody goes home hungry.
With plans for their next Technical Engineering Seminar already in the works for Fall 2025, the team at Shea Concrete is eager to keep this tradition of knowledge sharing moving in the right direction.
